My role as an Interior Architect
I have been involved in interior design for almost 25 years. Of this, I dedicated 10 years to extensive professional training and research in the fields of interior design and design. Another 15 years comprise my practical professional experience, 12 of which I have spent working in the hotel and spa sector in Tyrol.
I am a trained interior designer and a state-certified consulting engineer, born in 1985. My independent practice began in 2019 when I developed design concepts for hotels and spas. By successfully passing state examinations, I was able to further develop into a consulting engineer and expand the scope of my services. In July 2023, I founded my own interior design engineering firm, “OLENA Innenachtitektur”. It represents the culmination of my career and is based on many years of professional work and thorough specialized training.
Previously, for almost a decade, I worked as a leading interior designer in several renowned planning firms in Tyrol specializing in the design and development of hotels and spa hotels. During this time, I contributed to numerous tourism projects in the DACH region and internationally. I gained insight into niche-specific characteristics and technical aspects of spa equipment. This enables me to consider these aspects in early planning phases and provide you with a functional design.
I started my professional journey very early. My qualifications are based on many years of specialized university education and a completed Master’s degree in Interior Design. Furthermore, I obtained a doctorate (Dr. phil.) in Art History with a specialization in “Interior Design”.
My expertise encompasses the complete conception, planning, and development of hotel projects, from initial drafts to full project elaboration, considering all technical, aesthetic, architectural, and other aspects. A particular focus of my work is the specialized development of spa and wellness concepts.
My role as an Artist
In my work as an interior designer, my profound knowledge of fine arts offers significant added value.
Already in my youth, studying fine arts laid the foundation for my subsequent specialized training in interior design. This study provided the ideal groundwork for mastering my later creative work and allowed me to expand my imagination, sense of color, and spatial awareness.
During my specialized studies, a particular focus was placed on deepening artistic skills, intensive engagement with color theory, and the fundamental principles of composition and harmony.
Furthermore, my research has focused on the topic of “Integration of National Characteristics and Traditions in Modern Interior Design”. This knowledge enables me to develop innovative projects that are masterfully tailored to the culture, environment, and traditions of the respective country and its regions. I also have experience with listed building projects in Tyrol.
The research process in art history has further refined my analytical and conceptual skills. Every space presents itself to me as a canvas on which I create a carefully considered composition of function, aesthetics, and emotion.
Artistic sensibility and drawing skills are of great importance in this professional field. They sharpen the eye for detail, enable a delicate handling of color and form, and strengthen spatial perception. Thanks to these competencies, I can perform a comprehensive analysis of various influencing factors and shape the final result for your projects in an expressive form.
My role as a 3D Visualization Expert
For over 20 years, I have continuously mastered and improved my knowledge of the most sophisticated 3D visualization software, 3ds Max, in combination with the V-Ray rendering engine, to exclusively present your projects with the highest precision and realism myself.
For over two decades, I have been involved in computer modeling and 3D visualization of interior design, exclusively using software that can present project results in the best and most realistic form. This comprehensive expertise allows you to view your hotel or spa project with extreme precision even in the early planning phases and gain a realistic impression of the finished result.
For me, 3D visualization and modeling of an interior design project are an inseparable part of design development and must not be outsourced to a third party, but must be carried out exclusively by the planning interior designer personally. The process of space modeling is synchronous and inextricably linked with the development phases of the interior design project. Only the interior designer knows exactly what result is desired and can make necessary adjustments in a timely manner. This ensures the accuracy of the hotel project and takes into account all technical, constructive, and aesthetic aspects.
I attach great importance to this specialized expertise, as it serves as a crucial working tool for me and enables me to develop hotel plans comprehensively, controllably, and accurately. This offers significant added value for your projects and guarantees a high-quality basis for their execution.
