Hostellerie Des Châteaux & Spa 4* – Treehouse SPA
Ottrott, France
A unique and breathtakingly designed SPA facility that skillfully combines architecture and nature. Integrated into the landscape, the structure is built on several levels, with each level carefully designed to make optimal use of the natural terrain.
This is the project case where I, as an interior designer with my qualification in SPA planning, get involved in the project even before an architect who is responsible for the structural tasks. The goal is to plan the interior design and all rooms so efficiently and precisely that every square meter is optimally used. Of course, in such conceptual designs, I take into account all requirements and regulations that may influence the technical building planning as best as possible.
The project represents a hotel extension in the form of a treehouse SPA. The multi-level design of the facility makes it possible to optimally design different wellness and relaxation areas – from meditative gardens to quiet relaxation zones as well as free-standing saunas and other SPA facilities. All areas are connected by connecting corridors and wooden stairs. This creates a special experience and well-thought-out processes.
Sustainable SPA Architecture: Natural Materials & Open Space Concepts
The SPA facility is predominantly built from natural materials such as wood and natural stone from the region, which not only radiate visual warmth and rusticity, but also convey ecological sustainability. The use of large-scale glass fronts enables a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor areas, allowing the natural environment to flow into the SPA experience. This ensures an open, airy interior design concept that gives the impression of being directly in nature, even though you are in a protected environment.
SPA Architecture: Modern Elegance Meets Natural Harmony
Overall, the architecture and facade concept of this SPA facility embodies a perfect symbiosis of modern design and traditional elements, creating a comprehensive sense of well-being and a deep connection with the natural environment.
The interior design includes carefully planned SPA facilities in the hotel, which offer a variety of functions and experiences. A panorama relaxation room opens up the view into the open nature and offers an overview of the attractive architecture of the entire SPA area as well as the garden. Trees that seem to grow through the rooms and the building atrium create a unique unity with nature.
Panorama saunas, steam baths, ice rooms and outdoor terraces are cleverly placed to emphasize both the harmonious aesthetics and ensure functionality. This well-thought-out arrangement promotes an atmosphere of relaxation and well-being, which offers hotel guests an incomparable experience.
