The Kellerwirt project, now known as Mount Med Resort, relies on the proven combination of history and modernity, transforming a listed building in the heart of Tyrol, whose history dates back to 1275, into a very special hotel. During the design process, great emphasis is placed on carefully protecting the historical building fabric and underlining the history of the building.
Many of the impressive details are preserved and lovingly restored. The use of modern glass and black steel elements in the interior design creates an exciting contrast to the historical interior architecture, thus connecting the past with the present.

Rough-looking textiles and earthy, neutral tones dominate the design and create a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of the originality of Tyrolean culture. The structured wall plasters are also restored, contributing to the authentic charm of the hotel. Subtle accents give the design a timeless elegance. The sophisticated interplay of light creates a very special atmosphere and invites you to linger.
The project is thus a tribute to the past and a bridge to the future. Here, old values meet contemporary design approaches, and the history of the region is made tangible in an inspiring way. The combination of tradition and modernity creates a unique hotel that offers its guests an unforgettable experience in a historical ambience.
