In the Alpine SPA area, natural elements and contemporary interior design merge to create a place of peace and relaxation. Here, changing lighting moods create an almost unreal, fairytale-like atmosphere, which transports guests into a world of dreams and relaxation.
Since the luxury resort Kellerwirt, now known as Mount Med Resort, required many underground rooms due to its architecturally challenging location, some areas in the SPA receive little daylight. This hotel planning was indeed the only possible approach. However, as an interior architect, it was my task to transform these disadvantages into advantages and to create a very special atmosphere where the lack of daylight could be positively utilized.
Hidden Light: Creative Interior Architecture in the Mount Med Resort SPA
The result is a harmonious interior design that exudes both tranquility and exclusivity. The rooms in the SPA areas are characterized by warm wood tones that dominate the ceiling and floor, creating a cozy atmosphere. The unique interior architecture and high-quality materials, especially natural wood and custom-made elements, convey a sense of luxury.
The planning of the SPA area in Hotel Kellerwirt was one of many tasks. Essentially, the entire hotel interior architecture was intended to offer a delicate balance between traditional alpine interior and subtle luxury.

Artful Patterns and Creative Inspiration in Interior Design
The circular, artfully designed patterns on the walls, which reflect the shapes of the effect fire, create visual interest. The design language is also reflected in other elements of the design and interior architecture. The artistic interior design and unusual elements such as these could inspire guests and stimulate their creativity.
The sophisticated lighting concept plays an important role in all planned rooms of the SPA and pool area. Backlighting, integrated soft light points, and modern, spherical lamps hanging from the ceiling, together with material reflections, create special effects. These provide soft light and extraordinary light displays that support the relaxing atmosphere.
Harmony of Comfort and Aesthetics: Thoughtful Furnishings for a Luxurious Ambiance
The furnishing of all areas is the result of a careful selection that prioritizes both comfort and aesthetics. The furnishings include wide relaxation loungers and comfortable lounge sofas that invite relaxation, as well as rustic wooden side tables that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. These elements not only contribute to well-being but also emphasize the luxurious character of the premises. Together, they form a harmonious overall picture that offers guests maximum comfort and an aesthetically pleasing environment.
