The topic of health is currently highly relevant. Health centers are increasingly integrated into hotels and also operate as standalone concepts. This project involved an exclusive health club in Germany, where patients can experience an entirely new approach and thoughtfully manage their long-term health.
The vision and interior design of the “Valmedica” health center itself were intended to serve as crucial components of the overall concept, with patient well-being considered in all aspects.
The medical center is situated in a newly constructed building. The architectural plans were provided with the task of creating an exclusive interior design for the entrance area and reception. Functionality and the fundamental requirements for medical facilities were prioritized. Nevertheless, the interior design was intended to be exceptional. Upon entry, patients should sense that they will experience an entirely new approach to treatment. The spaces were designed to feel cozy yet exclusive – an urban oasis of well-being. The medical environment was to offer comfort that almost evokes a holiday sensation.
Health | Comfort | Exclusivity
During the planning of the health center’s entrance area, processes were meticulously considered, and functional zones were clearly defined. At every stage of their visit, patients were to feel comfortable, enjoy a degree of privacy, and utilize the facility’s functions without disturbance.
For instance, a spacious reception area was designed to accommodate multiple guests simultaneously. Consultation alcoves were established to facilitate brief discussions and to inform about the diverse product offerings in the pharmacy section. An open waiting area, featuring glass partitions and an appealing decorative fireplace, was also planned.
Natural materials such as wood, living walls, and abundant light, complemented by a planned indoor garden, are intended to foster well-being. They introduce the tranquility of nature into the spaces and create a harmonious interior design concept.
